SweetFats – High Capacitance

The SweetFats High-Capacitance Cable is thinner and more flexible than its big brother, the SweetFats Low-Cap, and is meant for short to medium length cable runs and will have a slightly “less present” feeling than the low-cap while still maintaining the sonic characteristics of high quality silver. The High-cap is best used for patch to shorter length instrument cables. As a patch cable, it’s capacitance will be relatively similar other copper cables on the market… so it will sound about as present as a mid-quality copper cable but with the sonics of silver. Fantastic for bright sounding pedals/amps/guitars or a combination thereof to tame (not lose) the high end while still maintaining definition. Compare these patch cables with an old fuzz or even a modern reverb and here the difference between copper vs. silver. Endless combinations of varying capacitance cables await you! We recommend lengths 16ft or shorter.

SweetFats – Mid Capacitance

The SweetFats Mid-Capacitance Cable is thinner and more flexible than its big brother, the SweetFats Low-Cap, and is meant for short to medium length cable runs and will have a slightly “less present” feeling than the low-cap while still maintaining the sonic characteristics of high quality silver. The mid-cap is best used for short to medium length instrument cables or patch cables. As a patch cable, it’s capacitance will still be relatively low compared to many other cables on the market… so it will sound a little more present and detailed than most other patch cables. Absolutely stellar when using lots of modulation and or in an effects loop.

SweetFats XLR Microphone Cable

The SweetFats microphone cable is one of the greatest on today’s market because of it’s very clear signal and broad spectrum range. This cable utilizes what Colossal Cable feels is the best of both worlds, silver & copper for it’s conductor. This combination gives warm yet clear articulation to the overall signal. The lows are robust and tight, the mid-range is punchy and articulate, and the highs are crisp without the harsh ear piercing overtones that can be associated with silver. The outer mesh jacket adds protection, durability, and easy wrap up which makes these mic cables perfect for live and studio applications.
