Colossus Power Cable
Give your amp the juice it needs to make it’s magic. These are the state-of-the-art in power cables specifically designed and fabricated to excel at supplying current to transformers used for sound production. Nano and Cryo-treated OFC 12-14 ga. copper and rhodium plating contacts, which will never wear off unlike other platings. Highs will become crisp and clean while simultaneously smoothing them out for a less harsh attack. Mid-range is pronounced, punchy and clear, bass is robust, smooth and defined, overall frequency range appears even, the amp is quieter and easier to play with less resistance from the amp, easier to feel comfortable and relaxed allowing one to express themselves with ease.

Well, I’m back to complete my review trilogy. This time it’s about the Colossal Power Cable and it delivers (current) bigtime. The official product description accurately describes the tonal/EQ/and tactile improvements that are to be had with this power cable. I’d like to add that all these improvements are very pronounced and not subtle. An analogy would be like replacing old worn out and weak power tubes with a fresh set of identical ones. All of a sudden the newer stronger tubes are providing the proper current that the old ones used to be able to do. All your punch, clarity and harmonics are restored. In fact, I’m hearing harmonics in the top end I’ve never heard before so using this power cable with amplifiers equipped with healthy strong power tubes that test as new, will bring out those positive traits to previously unheard levels. Of course I eventually A/B’d the Colossal several times using a couple different amplifiers with 2 or 3 generic power cables and the results are real, repeatable, and most assuredly not imagined.
There’s no magic or voodoo happening here. Only solid engineering, craftsmanship and superior materials. Of course a power cable cannot add extra voltage or current. But a cheap one can surely take something away. And don’t buy into the theory that your tone is only as good as the weakest link. Every improvement along the way, in and even outside of the direct signal path, as this power cable demonstrates, is an improvement, period.
Keep up the fantastic products David and Colossal!
“Hi David. My name is Yuji Yamamoto and I bought the cable the other day… I tried using it immediately, and, I am surprised by the very natural and soft sound. It was exactly the sound I was looking for. Please continue to make good cables!”
